GOAT JUNIOR

Where Country Music Doesn't Take Itself Too Seriously

So, Who the Hell Is Goat Junior?

Well, every good country story starts somewhere. Mine started with my dad acting like a talking goat.

Seriously.

He got the nickname “The Goat” after doing a goat impression from a comedy skit for a few of my high school friends. My Aunt Jan eventually started calling me “Goat Junior,” and apparently nobody in the family had the good sense to stop her.

So here we are.

I grew up playing country and bluegrass, fell in love with ’90s grunge as well as country, spent years writing songs and chasing the Nashville dream, and generally tried to be a respectable musician.

Turns out I’m a lot more comfortable making people laugh, telling stories, playing country music, and occasionally making a complete ass of myself.

So that’s Goat Junior.

Country music. Comedy. Original songs. ’90s nostalgia. Crowd interaction. And whatever happens when you hand a guy a guitar and a microphone and turn him loose.

Basically, it’s a party in a barn with one hell of a bar.

Welcome to Goat Night.
